Cross Border Stones Bore Stone Walking & Running Route

A circular walk to visit the Bore Stone on Deadwater Fell.

Deadwater is 22 miles south of Hawick, on the Border between Scotland and England. This is a circular walking route rising up forest tracks to Deadwater Fell. At the summit you are uninterrupted views across the English-Scottish border from one of the highest summits in the area. A short scramble down through heather moorland, you gradually descent to the mythical Bore Stone.

The Bore Stone sits in a rock out crop above the tree line on the side of Deadwater Fell.

Returning back through the trees to rejoin the forest track and back to the car.
